The Libyan Experts Forum on Development Cooperation
Jusoor Center participated in the Libyan Experts Forum on development cooperation that was held in the City of Tunis on the 31st March– 1st of April 2016. The meeting was organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, The United Nations Development Program, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Jusoor’s director presented a paper on the Development of Women Rights in the Libyan Legislation and the Future Challenges, also she participated in the panel of discussion on future of civil society in Libya, and highlighted the importance of establish the concept of collaboration between civil society organizations to ensure the effectiveness of the civil society movement in Libya.
The participants engaged in many discussions that include, the economic recovery plans, local governance, the role of youth in the development of Libya, women empowerment and situation of humanitarian needs in part of the country.
